Do not buy!

These pumps are horrible, impractical and are the opposite of convenient. If you bend over slightly your milk will leak everywhere. Not to mention the suction drops in and out, often not working. Do not waste your money. The company has tried to address this, however I’m having ongoing issues. They did offer for ME to pay to return the product to be reviewed to determine if they need to send me a new set, however that leaves me with no pumps in the meantime…. I cannot afford to buy a new set being on unpaid maternity leave.

We just wanted to clarify a few things, as we genuinely want to support you and help resolve this. We previously sent you replacement parts free of charge to try and help with the issues you were experiencing, and we haven’t heard back from you since that delivery.

Regarding the return process — we do ask that the pump be sent in for testing so we can assess whether there is a manufacturing fault. As communicated earlier, if the pump is found to be faulty, you will absolutely receive a full refund of your return postage along with a brand-new replacement pump at no cost to you.

Good but leaks

This is the first breast pump I’ve used The suction is good at collecting the milk but everytime I wear them I still end up wearing a lot of my milk, I’ve tried changing the flanges and tightening but it still leaks.

Loud, loses suction, doesn't hold in the breast milk

I've been using these pumps for nearly 2 months and from day one they have been so damn loud. I'm to embarrassed to wear them around the house when other people are home because they can hear them from the other side of the house. I don't see how people would attempt to wear these when they need to pump at work. Next issue the suction I have to take it apart and then put it back together constantly to just get some suction to pump and that really annoys me when I have to pump every few hours especially late at night and I just want to put them on and pump and go back to bed but no I have to fiddle with the flange, the valve, the diaphragm, the breast shield and then put it back together. Pumping takes me nearly 45minutes when it doesn't want to work. Last off can't do house hold chore that require you to bend over alittle like unloading dishwasher, loading washing machine ect because as soon as I bend over even alittle bit breastmilk spills out if I want to pump i have to sit down dont move for 20 minutes to not lose any milk which is so sad because I heard such good things about this brand. Maybe I recieved a bad pump who knows but it's just so sad spending so much money on 2 breast pump to have all these issues from day 1

We also wanted to gently highlight a point from our instruction manual: the Melony Pump is designed to be worn with your standard nursing bra and can be used in either a sitting or standing position. Getting the right compression is key - the pump needs to be firmly pressed against the breast with no gaps to create a proper seal. If your bra is particularly structured or inflexible, we recommend using the included bra adjuster to improve comfort and fit. Proper compression helps minimise movement and reduce leaking during a session.

Convenient for going back to work

I got this as I've returned to work, its easy to use and not too loud. Takes a little bit sometimes to get the right suction but when it's positioned right it expresses the milk great.

Good for breastmilk expression

While the Melony pump delivers when it comes to expressing breastmilk, I have found the customer service has been lacking. I followed the directions of cleaning and used a steriliser but discovered that it caused cracks in the collection containers. When I asked about warranty and replacement I was given short answers with links to purchase new parts with no other explanation.
